BS Information Technology Program

The BS Information Technology program includes the study of the utilization of both hardware and software technologies involving planning, installing, customizing, operating, managing and administering, and maintaining information technology infrastructure that provides computing solutions to address the needs of an organization.

The program prepares graduates to address various user needs involving the selection, development, application, integration and management of computing technologies within an organization.

Program Educational Objectives

  1. 1. Graduates will be competent professionals with an integrated understanding of computing systems, processes, and the main body of knowledge of information technology as a whole. They will be engaged in IT-related careers such as IT specialists, web/applications developer, network/systems/database administrator in private practice, academe, industry, or government.
  2. 2. Graduates will be capable of engaging in life-long learning activities relevant to their profession, including earning advanced degrees or completing professional training.
  3. 3. Graduates will be capable of exhibiting professionalism in working individually or as a member/leader of a team; communicating effectively; and meeting the social and ethical responsibilities of their profession.
