BACHELOR OF SCIENCE IN HOSPITALITY MANAGEMENT

Program Description:

The BS Hotel Restaurant & Management (BSHRM) program currently named as BS Hospitality Management (BSHM) per CMO#62 is a 4-year degree program that provide the competencies needed to execute operational tasks and management functions in food production (culinary), accommodation, food and beverage service, tourism planning and product development, events planning, transportation services, travel and tour operations, and other emerging sectors of hospitality and tourism industry. It also prepares the students with a solid management focused education allowing them to be employable internationally.  Through affiliations and relationships with industry associations, professional organizations, and tourism operators, students will experience various range of facilities and services directed at real-life application.

Program Educational Objectives:

Graduates from the Bachelor of Science in Hospitality Management program are expected to attain or achieve the following Program Educational Objectives:

    1. Show a strong value system that encourages professionalism, leadership, integrity, and quality-orientation;
    2. Utilize in skill application to ensure safe, accurate, required performance and expand business, management, and general knowledge through global connectivity over the use of state of the art facilities brought about by information technology;
    3. Demonstrate the ability to listen to the guests; capacity to solve problems arising from business; shows to negotiate and behave well with guests;
    4. Demonstrate the drive to constantly acquire, hone, and upgrade hospitality management skills necessary to sustain competence and global competitiveness;
    5. Demonstrate proficiency in English communication and at least, conversational facility in one other foreign language;
    6. Display the ability to know, understand, analyze, and evaluate the variety of aesthetic frameworks and principles at work;
    7. Demonstrate community involvement and conduct researches concerning hospitality development program; and

Program Description
