The Alumni Affairs Office takes care of monitoring the CITAA, Inc. (Cebu Institute of technology Alumni Association, Incorporated) which was created last May 1952 through the promulgation of its Constitution and By-Laws. The Association serves the Alumni members and the Alma Mater through various projects and scholarships initiated by the CITAA Officers and Members of the Board of Directors.
Currently, a total of eleven (11) CITAA chapters are now organized in the country and abroad. One chapter each in Luzon, Visayas, Mindanao, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Australia, Canada and Singapore.
In addition, there are five (6) chapters in the United States of America, namely: Las Vegas chapter, Southern California chapter, “Northern California chapter, Eastern Seaboard chapter, Midwest chapter, and Arizona chapter.
Since 2000, CITAA Incorporated has already sponsored fifty eight (58) CIT-U students: 40 of them are currently enrolled this school year and 18 of them have already graduated.
As one of the pioneering alumni associations in the field of technology, the alumni members, widely known as the Technologians, actively participate in the country’s effort towards progress in the 21st century. Be it in the government or private sector, the CIT-U Alumni are among the top level management of some of the big corporations in the country and even abroad.
Another laudable program that the CITAA, Inc. has been doing for several years is the conduct of free lectures on new technologies and innovations to college senior students. Visiting alumni, scientist and engineers, from different parts of world made prior arrangements with the academic program heads in coordination with the Alumni Affairs Office for the schedule and attendance of students in these activities.
